Figured why not introduce myself, now that I can, right?

I just moved to Northern Utah for college in Welding Engineering. As a Freshman in college, it was my natural instinct was to buy a 41 year old car that's been sitting for two years. Seems completely reasonable.

And Here It Is!

Officially the worst 240z to come off the line! A smog addled 73 with a 3 speed autotragic! Only "problem" is it's in California with a friend and I'm in Utah. Without it... Gonna be flying back there to do some small (lots) of mechanincing to it, and then start the 800 mile drive across the desert (What could go wrong? A stop at Bonneville?)!

Oh and I also daily drive a 1985 4Runner:

It likes to rev match all my shifts, without my asking or doing. Because it's magic.

Thanks! It needs a bit of work to get it on the road, but has no real rust and came with a few extra parts (5 speed and an L28 among others). I haven't even seen it yet and I already love it!

Realistically I don't need it haha. My first truck was an 87 pickup and the IFS never let me down there. I don't do much rock crawling, more adventure/expedition type stuff.

Thanks, good luck finding yours. It's gonna be interesting having it in the dorm parking lot for the first year haha. 5 Speed swap in the parking lot? No problem.

The z's in the Thousand Oaks area. Would be cool to have an extra hand, but it's gonna be frantic as it is trying to get it sorted enough for an 800 mile drive in only a couple of days.
